Scam Alert: Stay Vigilant!
The safety of our members is paramount. Please be aware that online marketplace fraud is always a threat, and scammers now leverage advanced AI tools to create highly convincing fake profiles, generate deceptive messages, and craft sophisticated phishing attempts. Always remember to trust your instincts. Never agree to unusual payment methods (like personal checks from persons not known to you, so-called “certified” or “cashier’s” checks, gift cards or wire transfers), and be extremely cautious of overpayment requests. The King's Point Sportsman's Club does not mediate transactions and is not liable for financial losses. Your personal vigilance is your best defense!
Don’t hesitate to reach out to Master Deputy Jeffrey E. Merry Jr. We are very fortunate that Deputy Merry is a Friend of the Club and local Hillsborough County Sheriff. If you think you are being scammed, please contact Deputy Merry at 813-242-5515 or email him at jmerry@hcso.tampa.fl.us
